As the only public health system in Dallas County, the community is at the heart of everything we do at Parkland. It’s been our mission for more than 120 years to provide care for anyone in need, making our community a healthier place to live.
To that end, Parkland Foundation created the Community First Award to recognize servant leaders across industries who have impacted Dallas County through their work in the community. Each year, a class of exceptional civic-minded leaders will receive the award.
Throughout the year, recipients will be invited to a series of events to network and learn about Parkland’s critical role in the community and beyond. Events scheduled for 2019 include:
February 28, 2019 – Get to Know Parkland April 4, 2019 – Parkland: In the Community and Cutting Edge Technology May 16, 2019 – Parkland: Level I Trauma CenterSummer/TBD – Service ProjectOctober 23, 2019 – Award Ceremony and Closing Event
Nominations for 2019 are closed.
February 4, 2019: Award recipients notified
Nominations that meet the criteria above will be reviewed by Parkland Foundation for selection of finalists and alternates.
There is no fee to apply or for recipients to attend the events. We ask only that recipients attend three of the four educational events to receive their award at the closing event.
